End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public not-for-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive at school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive at school on Monday morning. This weekend program, established in New Hampshire in 2011, puts nourishing food in the hands of school children to carry them through the weekend. The Front Door Agency, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that invests in New Hampshire individuals and families as they transition from crisis to self-sufficiency by providing a hand-up opportunity to those at risk of homelessness.
The Nashua Police Athletic League has a mission to foster positive relationships between youth and police. PAL is fortunate to have a number of programs that assist this mission and help youth in and around the City of Nashua. PAL offers a large variety of sports, education, recreational, and enrichment programs to all of Nashua’s youngsters.
Working with groups like the Nashua Police Athletic League (PAL), the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, the Boys and Girls Club of Nashua, and other local agencies, we get bikes into the hands of folks living on the edge, who use them as their prime transportation year round. Many of our clients have no way to maintain their bikes. When the bikes no longer work, they get abandoned. We break that cycle by providing bike repairs free of charge.
